Where can I find a tax return for an earlier year?
Many different kinds of tax returns filed for previous years are stored in MyTax. The stored returns also include paper-filed tax returns, and tax returns filed electronically through other e-services, not only MyTax.
See detailed instructions sorted by return type:
- Make sure you are on Your tax types on MyTax home page.
- First select the Individual income tax section, and then go to All tax years and click Show details on all tax years.
- MyTax will now show you data records from earlier tax years. You can click on a year to examine various data records in detail, including submitted tax returns. For example, you can click on Tax year 2023.
- The latest version of the pre-completed tax return you submitted for that year is under Contact history. In the same way, you can also find income tax returns for business, agriculture and forestry – if relevant. In addition, if you filed any Claims for adjustment for that year, MyTax has stored them here. Click on the headings to examine contents of the different tax returns.
If you selected a tax return and it is marked “processed”, the date will refer to the date when the IT system created the tax decision. This means that if a return is “processed” it is no indication of the Tax Administration’s work processes regarding tax assessment for the year. Instead, if you need to know the date when the Tax Administration finished the assessment process for a certain year, you can find that date on your tax decision.
- Make sure you are on Your tax types on MyTax home page.
- First, go to the Income tax section, select the year, and then click on Show details on income taxes. The text in MyTax may read Show details on corporate income tax.
- MyTax will now show you data records from earlier tax years. You can click on a year to examine various data records in detail, including submitted tax returns. For example, you can click on Tax year 2023.
- You can find a list of all the tax returns your company submitted during that year (or reporting period) under Contact history. Click on the headings to examine contents of the different tax returns, documents, other data.
Please note that when a corporate income tax return is marked “processed”, it will mean that the return is included in the Tax Administration’s assessment process which is still ongoing. In other words, “processed” does not necessarily mean that tax assessment is completely finalised for the year.
