Tax Administration’s registers – business

When you are setting up a business, you must enter it in the required registers. However, if you do not start your business operations immediately, you should postpone the registration until you actually start the operations. Keep your registered details up to date, and remember to remove your company from the register if its business operations are terminated.

A company or entrepreneur registered in the prepayment register pays their taxes as advance taxes, so the payer does not need to withhold tax.

Processing times

Entering your company in the Tax Administration’s registers can take up to 3 weeks. If you enter your company in the Trade Register, the matter will first be processed by the Finnish Patent and Registration Office.
