I paid taxes in MyTax from my Nordea account. Why did Paytrail ask me for an authorisation for three days to generate the payment?

Paytrail is the service provider for MyTax online payments. When making a payment, Nordea’s customers have been asked to give Paytrail an authorisation for three days to generate payments.

Even though Paytrail asks to be authorised for a three-day period, the authorisation only concerns a single payment transaction. After the payment is made, Paytrail only uses the authorisation to view the status of your payment during the three-day period – the authorisation is not used for anything else. Paytrail does not get access to your account and cannot view your account information or transactions.

Paying taxes in MyTax is still just as safe as it has always been. If you wish, you can also pay your taxes with an e-invoice or in your online bank, for example. You can find the payment details in MyTax or on your tax decision.
