New version of Ilmoitin.fi will be launched on 25 March 2025

During the downtime on 25 March 2025 between 7 am and 9 am, the Ilmoitin.fi website and its software interfaces are temporarily unavailable.

Key changes:

  • Annual information returns 2025:
    • Check processes added for 2025.
    • In addition to annual changes, changes have been made to the following data flows: VSAPUUSE, VSLISTHA, VSMUUAPT, VSOSAKET, VSPAOPAL, VSRMUERI, VSTVERIE, VSULKOSE.
    • You can find data format specifications on vero.fi.
  • Income tax returns:
  • Payment service provider´s return on cross-border payments / CESOP:
  • FATCA annual information return:
    • A new check process has been added: a return may contain only elements that have the same DocTypeIndic value.
  • CRS and DAC2 annual information returns for financial institutions:
    • In the AccountHolder/Organisation/Name structure, the value of the optional nameType attribute cannot be OECD201.

Ilmoitin.fi will no longer accept eSARA files after 30 September 2025

The use of eSARA files sent through the Ilmoitin.fi service will end in the fall of 2025, and Kela will accept the last eSARA files on September 30, 2025. We recommend that large employers start preparing now to apply for benefits in the income register. Applying in the income register is easy, but it requires a change in your payroll program.

Ilmoitin.fi and Attachments

  • The "Muu liite" type is accepted for the fiscal year ending in 2024, and for the fiscal year ending in 2025, the "Vapaamuotoinen liite" type must be used.
    • If the submission is made using the Ilmoitin.fi browser application, the file name can be anything, as Ilmoitin names the file based on the entered information.
    • If the submission is made via the ApitamoPKI interface, the file must be correctly named, and after the "Vapaamuotoinen liite" phrase, freely chosen text can be added in the same way as it has been for "Muu liite".
  • The "Selvitys tutkimus- ja kehittamistoiminnan lisavahennyksesta" attachment can be provided for the fiscal year ending in 2024, and the report is given when using forms 67A and/or 67Y.
  • The "Vahvistettu tilinpaatos" attachment type can also be used with forms other than 6B, and only in conjunction with 6B is it forwarded to the PRH. Of course, for forms other than 6B, it would be more appropriate to use the "Tilinpaatos vain Verolle" attachment type, but both attachment types are processed in the same way.

The Tax Administration and software developers collaboration day online (held on Teams, the language is Finnish)

The Tax Administration and software developers spring collaboration day online on May 27, 2025. The day will start at 9:00 AM. The day will feature current presentations on changes in taxation and their impact on software development. The day's presentations and a detailed schedule will be published closer to the event.

  • Intended for those who work with IT development at commercial software vendor companies;
  • Designed to give guidance and support to IT development;
  • Not designed for any error processing.
  • Instead, if you notice an error or if you become aware of a technical problem, always use the Observation form to inform the Incomes Register of it.
