Service break in MyTax during the weekend − take care of tax matters before the break
Tax Administration Bulletin, 11/13/2024Due to a system update, MyTax will be unavailable during the upcoming weekend. You will not be able to access MyTax for any tax matters during that time. The Tax Administration instructs you to take care of any tax matters before the service break starts on Friday afternoon.
The MyTax service break starts on Friday 15 November at 5 pm and ends on Sunday 17 November at 6 pm. You will not be able to log in to MyTax after 4.30 on Friday.
The service break is due to a system update. With the update, the Tax Administration prepares for changes in taxation entering into force next year. The update involves no major changes to MyTax in appearance or functionalities, says Director Simo Sildén from the Tax Administration.
“We care constantly developing MyTax in order to make taking care of tax matters online even easier. The upcoming service break will allow us to update the taxation system in preparation for next year’s changes”, says Sildén.
Changes in taxation next year include the removal of the VAT relief for small businesses, and tax cards entering into force on 1 January.
Request a tax card and check payment references before the weekend
Sildén reminds taxpayers that you cannot request a tax card in MyTax during the service break. In addition, you cannot pay taxes or check payment details in the service during the break.
“If you need to pay taxes, you should log in to MyTax and get the payment details before the service break and pay the taxes in your online bank”, Sildén says.
