The second stage of the register is in full swing – API descriptions for lenders are now available

8/19/2024

The Positive credit register is being expanded to also include all loans related to private business activities.

In the first stage, only consumer credits and loans comparable to them were reported to the register. In the second stage, starting 1 December 2025, lenders also start reporting loans granted to private individuals other than consumers, such as loans granted to private businesses.

The API descriptions for lenders regarding the second stage of the register have now been published on our website. The API descriptions help stakeholders to implement the necessary changes to their own systems. It is important that stakeholders study the API descriptions carefully.

We will later publish more documents and instructions for the second stage of the register. You will be informed of the new documents and instructions on our website and in our newsletter. Subscribe to the Positive credit register’s newsletter

In September 2024, we will organise stakeholder meetings covering both the API descriptions and other topical issues regarding the second stage. The stakeholders will also have an opportunity to ask questions about the second stage from our specialists.

September’s stakeholder events:

  • Tuesday 10 September 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm (Teams) (in Finnish)
  • Thursday 12 September 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm (Teams) (in English)

Teams links to the September events will be sent automatically to organisations signed up as the register's stakeholders. Enter your organisation's up-to-date contact information in the sign-up form for our second-stage stakeholder work. In this way, you can make sure you receive Teams links to our future stakeholder events.
