Incorrect customer data causing unjustified dates of death on credit register extracts have been corrected

The incorrect customer data included on the Positive credit register’s credit register extracts have been corrected. The error caused an unjustified date of death to be generated on some customers’ credit register extracts.

Incorrect customer data transferred to the Positive credit register caused an unjustified date of death to be generated for some customers. The incorrect information was shown only in the credit register extracts requested for these customers.

In total, 13 cases of incorrect data were detected. The errors were corrected immediately. We also sent each customer a letter informing them of the matter.

We have not detected any new errors in the background data transferred to the register or in the data generated for the credit register extracts.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the error and for any effects it may have had on loan applications. Individuals whose extracts contained incorrect data are recommended to make a new loan application. This way, lenders will receive credit register extracts with the correct data.
