All loan data was recorded in the register – the data transmission problem concerned loans that had ended

2/2/2026

Last week we announced that some loan data reported to the Positive credit register on 29 and 30 January 2026 had not been saved correctly in the register on account of technical problems. We started investigating the problem and the root cause immediately. The investigation showed that the problem affects only loans that have ended or have been cancelled. In other words, no inaccurate data has been disclosed on credit register extracts.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

No incorrect data was disclosed from the register

The problem only concerns the reporting of data on loans that have ended or have been cancelled. Neither lenders nor private individuals have received incorrect data from the register because ended or cancelled loans are not shown on credit register extracts or in the e-service.

The data of the 3,400 customers that were originally stated to be affected by the problem was also correct on the credit register extracts and in the e-service all the time. In other words, the problem did not cause any inaccuracies in private individuals’ data.

We are correcting the problem in the data on loans that have ended

There are currently around 3,900 ended on cancelled loans in the register whose data cannot be corrected or changed. If a lender attempts to report a correction or change to these loans, the register’s API will respond by sending an error. All the APIs for reporting data function correctly, and this error does not require any action from lenders.

We have started making corrections to the system with a view to correcting the data on the above around 3,900 ended or cancelled loans and making sure any future corrections or changes to them can be reported normally. We will inform you on the system information bulletin when the error has been fully corrected.
