I have made the same payment multiple times. What happens now?

If you have paid too much, the Tax Administration will use the excess amount on your other overdue or upcoming income taxes. This is done in the order of their due dates. When all your income taxes have been settled, the remaining amount will be used on other overdue taxes, such as real estate tax. If you do not have any debts undergoing recovery by enforcement, your payment will automatically be refunded to your bank account.
