Version update to Ilmoitin.fi released on 29 September 2020

During the update, on 29 September 2020 between 7 am and 9 am, the Ilmoitin.fi e-service and the associated software interfaces are unavailable.

After the update:

  • You can check and submit self-employed businesses' income tax returns (Forms 2, 2Y, 2C, 5, 6A, 73B) for tax year 2020.
  • You can run checks and submit direct data transfers related to Resident recipients of pension benefits (VKESSELE), Non-resident recipients of pension benefits (RVKSSELE), Withholding data on wage payments (VKESSPAE), and Work income under YEL and MYEL (VKTYOSVA) for purposes of 2021 preassessment.
  • To submit direct data transfers, you must use Suomi.fi e-identification or a certificate. Katso authorisations can no longer be used in these data flows.
  • New check routines have been added to the DAC6DC data flow.
  • New check routines have been added to the CRS/DAC2 and FATCA data flows.
  • Check routines for Reporting on the construction sector (VSTYONTE, VSURAKKA) have been corrected (no changes to data file specifications).

Information for software developers regarding the version update

Ilmoitin

  • The technical description and instructions for Apitamo_PKI document has been updated. The document can be found on the IT Developers (Components) page of Ilmoitin.fi.

TaMo

  • 2020 formats and TaMo checks as specified in data file specifications are added to self-employed businesses (2, 2Y, 5, 6A) (data file specifications on tax.fi).
  • 2021 formats and TaMo checks as specified in data file specifications are added to direct data transfers related to Resident recipients of pension benefits (VKESSELE), Non-resident recipients of pension benefits (RVKSSELE), Withholding data on wage payments (VKESSPAE) and to submittal of Work income under YEL and MYEL for purposes of preassessment (VKTYOSVA) (data file specifications on tax.fi).
  • To submit direct data transfers, you must use Suomi.fi e-identification or a certificate. Katso authorisations can no longer be used in these data flows.
  • Deadline for filing income tax returns for 2019 is 31 October 2020.
  • New checks are added to the DAC6DC data flow (data file specification on tax.fi).
  • New checks are added to the CRS/DAC2 data flow (technical instructions on tax.fi).
    • Error message if the value for ReportingGroup/AccountReport/fAccountTreatment is CRS982 and the value for Accountholder/Individual/TIN is 000000000 (nine x 0) or a question mark (?) or hyphen (-) is detected.
    • Error message if the value for ReportingGroup/AccountReport/fAccountTreatment is CRS982 and the value for Accountholder/Organisation/IN is 000000000 (nine x 0) or a question mark (?) or hyphen (-) is detected.
  • The following checks are added to the FATCA data flow (technical instructions on tax.fi).
    • Submittal is prevented if /Individual/Name/LastName is blank or consists of spaces.
    • Error message if AccountHolder/Individual/TIN consists of 9xA (AAAAAAAAA), (US TIN is mandatory).
  • Corrections to check routines for Reporting on the construction sector

    • VSURAKKA check of missing mandatory data

Upcoming events

  • The next Skype meeting for IT developers is on Friday, 2 October 2020, at 9.00 am–10.00 am
  • The cooperation event for the Tax Administration and IT developers is held on Thursday, 26 November 2020. Because of the coronavirus situation, this is a Teams event. The number of participants is limited to 200. If more than 200 people sign up for the event, we will organise another event with the same content. If needed, the second cooperation event is held on Friday, 27 November 2020, at 9.00 am–4.30 pm

Skype meetings will be replaced by Teams meetings in 2021

Because of software changes at the Tax Administration, Skype will be gradually replaced with Teams by the end of 2020

  • Skype meetings scheduled for this year will be held with Skype as planned
  • New events will not be organised with Skype, so for example November’s event for IT developers will be held with Teams

Next year, all meetings will be Microsoft Teams meetings

  • The schedule for Teams meetings will be published under Events for IT Developers at the turn of the year
  • Customers who do not have Teams yet can participate in the Tax Administration’s Teams meetings by using the browser version, if not blocked by their organisation
